In honor of our own upcoming pandemic I think its only wise to educate ourselves about the swine flu’s predecessors and the affect they had on our fragile planet and  breakable, sensitive bodies. Its hard to put context to something like this but try we must. Everyday we are hearing about new cases of this thing and very sadly a lot of deaths but we can at least be grateful that it is still a long road to go before images like the one above are replicated and put front page on the new york times. So please, read away, stay safe, and have an exit plan on the ready. I’ve read The Stand and this can get ugly fast.
